  8. use the Register Program and print out the registration form please

  55. DESCRIPTION

  57. Mac CallerID© is a shareware application that will display and
  58. store specific information provided by your local telephone
  59. company.  You must subscribe to your local telephone company’s
  60. “caller information and identification service,” commonly known
  61. as Caller ID.   This application is similar to the Caller ID
  62. boxes available in many stores, but is available at a fraction
  63. of the cost.  A lot of work went into the application, and
  64. hopefully you will agree that it is worth the nominal fee or
  65. more.

  67. The caller's name, number, date and time can be displayed as
  68. a single call or in a list of all calls.  Mac CallerID should
  69. work in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Sweden.

  71. Mac CallerID©  REQUIRES THAT YOU ARE IN AN AREA WHERE CALLER ID
  72. IS AVAILABLE, YOU ARE A SUBSCRIBER AND HAVE A MODEM THAT
  73. SUPPORTS CALLER ID.

  76. What is Caller ID?
  77.  
  78. Caller ID is a way for you to determine who is calling before
  79. you answer the phone.  Between the first and second rings,
  80. the phone company sends information about who is calling.
  81. Not all the information is always available, many times the
  82. call might have originated from an area that does not support
  83. Caller ID.  At other times the call may be blocked by the
  84. calling party.

  90. •  System 7 or greater
  91. •  Modem with Caller ID support
  92. •  Caller ID service must be provided by your local telephone 
  93.    company and you must subscribe to     the service.

  96. Mac CallerID©  - STANDARD FEATURES (UNREGISTERED VERSION)
  97. •  Mac CallerID© displays the complete telephone number, name,
  98.             area code, time and date of the call.
  99. •  It can display a single call or a list of all calls.  All 
  100.    available information will be displayed.  Calls that have no 
  101.    data will not be displayed.
  102. •  Calls with phone numbers can be dialed via the Macintosh
  103.    speaker or through the modem.
  104. •  The Mac CallerID© database can be read into ClarisWorks or
  105.    another similar application to create an instant database of
  106.    callers.
  107. •  New calls will be displayed automatically, you will be
  108.    notified by the flashing new call indicator in the top right
  109.    hand corner of the window.  Clicking any button or the new
  110.    call indicator will stop the indicator from flashing.
  111. •  Metro Dialing Option, this enables you to dial a number that
  112.    requires an area code but does not need a 1 in front of the
  113.    number.  
  114. •  Works in the United States, Sweden, and Canada.  Tested in the
  115.    following Canadian Provinces: Manitoba, Saskatchewan,
  116.    and Ontario.
  117. •  Works with Supra, Zyxel, Motorola, some Global Village,
  118.    and PowerBit modems.

  122. •  Printing a single call or a list of all calls.
  123. •  SubstituteCaller.  When a call comes in with a telephone
  124.    number and no name, Mac CallerID©  will attach the specified
  125.    name.
  126. •  Find the next or previous occurrence of a name, phone
  127.    number or date in the database.
  128. •  Many "Core" Apple Events are supported.  Supported events
  129.    from the "Core" suite are: count, delete, get data, get data
  130.    size.
  131.    Note "DELETE" will delete the specified call without
  132.    prompting the user.
  133.    Miscellaneous AppleEvents: InitModem and ReleaseModem.
  134. •  Copy the currently displayed or selected caller information
  135.    to the clipboard.
  136. •  PREFERENCES FEATURES:
  137.             •  Replace displayed name with user specified name.
  138.       For example if a call comes in with XYZ company
  139.       303 123-1234, you can specify that the name be replaced
  140.       with Mr. Nobody.  This is done by adding the name and
  141.       number to the "SubstituteCaller" dialog.
  142.    •  Hide or shrink the Mac CallerID©  window when the
  143.       application is in the background. 
  144.    •  Bring Mac CallerID©  to the front when a call comes in.
  145.    •  Delete all calls that do not have a number when quitting
  146.       the application.
  147.    •  Delete all calls when quitting the application.
  148.    •  Display the single or all calls view when starting
  149.       Mac CallerID© .
  150.    •  Speak the name or number of the caller. 
  151.       Note you must have the Speech Manager Extension installed
  152.       to use this feature.
  153.    •  Launch a specified application when a new call
  154.       comes in.

  158. •  PageMe - Have Mac CallerID©  call your pager when an
  159.    important call comes in.  Specify who can or can not page
  160.    you and more.

  165. Double click on the self extracting archive and select a
  166. destination for the Mac CallerID©  folder.

  172. the application.

Updates via e-mail are free for the standard version and any additional features that you purchase.  New features may or may not be included as a standard feature and may require an additional fee to activate them.  Please make sure that if your email address chances you notify me as I will attempt to notify you of future upadates at your email address.

  208. Registered users who do NOT have an email address are entitled to one free diskette.  Only users with valid email addresses will be notified of updates!  After your one free diskette each additional update will require prepayment in U.S. dollars.
